Royal Recognition For Kingspan Tarec

Leading pipe insulation manufacturer Kingspan Tarec Industrial Insulation is celebrating after winning a prestigious Queen’s Award for Enterprise. It has been recognised for its innovation in pioneering a new method of manufacture, which has resulted in a dramatic reduction of waste and a significant increase in output.

Conferred each year on Her Majesty, The Queen’s birthday, the awards involve a strict assessment process to uncover and acknowledge outstanding business performance in the categories of innovation, international trade and sustainable development.

Kingspan Tarec specified the design of a clean, innovative and highly efficient method of continuous production for its premium performance rigid phenolic pipe insulation, which is widely used in heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems. The investment in this unique manufacturing process has greatly increased its capacity in order to continue fulfilling the increasing global demand for energy efficient solutions in buildings.

The upgrade has made an enormous contribution to Kingspan Tarec’s commercial success and has enabled a move to higher capacity facilities. More importantly, it has significantly improved production efficiency and product quality whilst having a positive environmental impact by further reducing waste levels and completely eliminating the use of solvents.

Kingspan Tarec was formed in 2006 with the merger of Tarec Insulation and Kingspan Insulation’s pipe and slabstock insulation business. The company has over 35 years experience in the building services / HVAC and industrial insulation sectors, priding itself on manufacturing excellence, technical expertise and state of the art technology.
